Did I mention $? Safety equipment, fenders, spring lines, boathook, all cost!! I haven't even been onboard in the water yet.

H'mmm- also dont know how to use the electronics, and look to the left-I hope these two 18 year old babies will purr along.

Have to figure out the layout..seacocks, oil, the head, batteries, a good pre -startup checklist.

Learning curve is pretty steep. Stay tuned for pictures and video.

Unedited---I promise.

"Teaghlach": There she is!

Well, there she is on her stays in RI, November 2010. James and I bought her in January and she will be splashed early in June. Homeport will be the Volunteer Yacht Club, Nahant, MA.
"Teaghlach" (pronounced "Shai-la") is gaelic for family.

She is a 1992 Grady White Marlin, with twin Yamaha 250 HP engines, radar, plotter, marine radio and depth sounder/fishfinder. Below decks is a full head with shower, forward and aft berths and a galley.

Owning a GW has been a goal for several years, and this summer will be a combination of excitement, joy and abject nervousness as I learn how to helm, navigate and maintain this boat.

Come along for the ride, I'll be posting as I go.

Thanks and love to Debra for the years of obssessing...................... by me!
